Project Euler: Problem 1

If we list all the natural numbers below 10 that are multiples of 3 or 5, we get 3, 5, 6 and 9. The sum of these multiples is 23.

Find the sum of all the multiples of 3 or 5 below 1000.

# YOUR CODE HERE

mult=[x for x in range(1000) if x %3==0 or x%5==0] #iterates through natural numbers below 1000. If an
#iteration is a multiple, aka divisible with a remainder of zero, of 3 or 5 the iteration is put into string mult.
tot=sum(mult)#Sums the values in the string
print("The sum of the multiples of 3 or 5 (under 1000) is " +str(tot))

The sum of the multiples of 3 or 5 (under 1000) is 233168
