This graph is from an article titled "Black And Hispanic Students Are Making Meaningful Gains, But It’s Hard To Tell." The whole purpose is to uncover what the data is saying while maintaining its integrity. I believe it does this effectively.
Considering how much data is being presented, the graph is very easy to read and not overwhelming. I like the format of the 3 plots with a shared y axis; they fit together rather seamlessly.
