Jupyter Notebooks: R!

The default language in this Notebook is R! We can see this by looking in the top right-hand corner of the page (next to the 'Logout' button) -- we should see the R symbol.

That means we can just code in R:

In [1]:
head(iris)

Sepal.LengthSepal.WidthPetal.LengthPetal.WidthSpecies
5.1 3.5 1.4 0.2 setosa
4.9 3.0 1.4 0.2 setosa
4.7 3.2 1.3 0.2 setosa
4.6 3.1 1.5 0.2 setosa
5.0 3.6 1.4 0.2 setosa
5.4 3.9 1.7 0.4 setosa

In R, all the plots are displayed in-line by default:

In [2]:
require(ggplot2)
qplot(Sepal.Length,Sepal.Width,data=iris)
