Day 13 - Tuesday, May 13, 2014

Summary: Integration

The Integration Tour was posted to PolyLearn on May 11. I sent an email announcement along with the reminder to be "present" while working on it.

1. Open terminal, practice workflow:

$ cd PHYS202-S14
$ git pull origin master
$ git status
$ mkdir Integration
$ ipynb

2. Navigate to the Integration directory and create a new notebook called IntegrationTour with title cell (Heading 1) Integration Tour.

3. Open the "Integration" webpage on PolyLearn in one Browser Window. Follow the self-guided tour, entering code into your IntegrationTour notebook as you go. Add markdown cells with your notes, if you like.

No copy/paste!

Type the commands yourself to get the practice doing it. This will also slow you down so you can think about the commands and what they are doing as you type them.

4. At the end of the self-guided tour open the "Integration Exercises" page on PolyLearn and start working on them. They will be due as HW by Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11:59pm.

5. Before leaving, save your work in the notebook, then practice your workflow:

$ git status
$ git add .
$ git commit -m "<summary message goes here>"
$ git push origin master
$ git status

Check github to be sure the work got there so you have it for the weekend.
